Head out to the country in Apex, North Carolina and you will come across FigMINT Farms. Here the birth of a garden transcended into something even more special. Here you will find an event space with a little something for everyone.
I knew it would be amazing from the moment I drove up the gravel lane. I could see the beautiful pond and beyond that was the mint garden.
The fun begins
First, I came across Triangle Twirl, and she invited me to try her 360-degree photo video experience. Later, I had the convenience of seeing my video on my phone. How fun is that, right?
FigMINT Farms include a pavilion, shelter, pine groves, a fire pit, yard games, and a property worth exploring. The pond is a serene place to fish from with its stocked pond.
It is the perfect venue for a wedding reception, graduation party, birthday party, or any special celebration. Do you have an idea for a celebration? I am confident they can accommodate your vision.
Dinner in the Pines
Fortunately, I attended their Dinner in the Pines event. Talk about a magical experience! It was a dream of mine to have a delicious dinner outdoors in nature. It finally came true and what better way than with food from their restaurant, Sassool, who catered for this beautiful evening.
I have been a fan of their Mediterranean food for quite some time. My sons are fans too. Their food is well known in the Raleigh and Cary area.
They had quite the spread with their Mediterranean grazing table. I especially loved the Chickpea Salad, Hot Honey Feta Rolls, and the FigMINT Dipping Oil. It was hard not to eat more but I knew I wanted to save room for dinner.
In the pine groves, there were long wooden tables adorned with beautiful centerpieces. The sparkling lights strewn between the pine trees added a soft glow. It created the perfect ambiance for a family-style meal at the table.
Their signature cocktail was the Apple Cider Mojito, and I had the non-alcoholic version. It was cool and crisp with the right amount of sweetness. The bartender must have read my mind when I ordered the second one. Talk about exceptional service!
Next, we all gathered for dinner and enjoyed the Chicken Shawarma with Tahini, Battata Harra (Seasoned Lebanese Potatoes), Sassool’s October special Pumpkin Salad, Mediterranean Salmon Filet, and Tatziki with pita bread. One thing I know for sure is that I always enjoy eating their flavorful cuisine.
After dinner, I went to create my beautiful bouquet. The flowers were beautiful and lasted longer than I expected.
Let me tell you about dessert. If you love s’mores then you are in for a treat. We had our choice of different chocolates, graham crackers, or their delicious baklava. Of course, I chose baklava.
Community around the bonfire
Picture yourself around a beautiful bonfire surrounded by great people. You are handed a skewer with a marshmallow. I tried not to burn mine too much. All that sticky goodness was worth the short wait. Talk about heaven on earth eating something that good!
Afterward, I walked over to the pond for the lantern release. They were all so helpful, lighting it up for me. Although I burnt my lantern on one side it was cool to me. It reminded me of my marshmallow. It was beautiful to see it fly above the pond.
As I released my lantern I wondered if I was supposed to make a wish. Instead, I was simply grateful. I finally experienced a dream coming true and could not be happier. It was a place to enjoy a tranquil place, a wonderful experience with fun activities and amazing food.
At last, I looked at my lantern fading into the night sky. It brought a smile to my face. You see, we all get to do something fun by saying yes.
