Grateful for 3 September Milestones and More

September was a blessing for many reasons. First, I reached a milestone for my birthday. Next, I got clarity on my calling that I embarked on getting certified as an inspirational life coach, and it is my 4th anniversary with my blog. You know, I am grateful for 3 September Milestones and more that came along with it.

One thing I have found with time is that it passes by no matter what. It does not wait for you to see if you are ready. It keeps on going with you or without you. Midlife catches up with you to present itself enthusiastically. These last few months made me think more about what I wanted out of life and how I could serve others with my gifts and talents.

Those things could be with coaching, writing, relationships, etc. When you get in touch with who you want to be, it changes you. It does so in a way that it enlightens you.

Choose Your Thoughts

Life has taught me to keep on going despite my external circumstances. When you open your mind to what is possible, things begin to shift. As a result, by choosing my thoughts, I no longer let trivial things make me unhappy. That is the power behind positive thinking.

That is the reality that I have decided to accept that it is up to me. I choose to enjoy life, live it to the fullest, even when life happens. Life will happen regardless, so why not live in the moment by choosing joy?

Yes, this is 2020, but there is still beauty in it. If you have a roof over your head, food on your table, and you woke up today, you are rich. Things that were taken for granted no longer are, and I choose gratitude. There is always something to learn along the way.

I have seen the joy with both my son’s with things that make them happy. We have created an outdoor space with a garden, plants, and lights. It is not HGTV, but it is ours. That is enough for me.

Making Memories

I have gone to the beach with my boys, and we created memories. We might have done curbside dining and eaten at our motel, but it was worth it. It was quality time spent together. We got up and watched the sunrise and had peace. Then did it again with a sunset when we captured sight of it.

You see, the passing of time has a way of happening every second of the day. You choose to make it worth your time with the decisions that you make. There is always an opportunity to create an experience that you want to remember.

I have had the pleasure of sitting at the table with my boys and enjoying a meal together. There has been plenty of chatter and laughter too. That is the life that I choose to have and to hold onto to be happy. For you see, when life happens, I can always go back to the fun moments that I filed away in my heart.

Celebrated My Progress With My September Milestones

I even took photos for the fun of it and to feel refreshed with this year’s blessings. Did I mention that I am grateful for my September milestones? Yes, it is still 2020, and I am going to continue to pursue the right things. There is always something good to be found each day. I bought flowers more often and basked in the way they made me feel. Feeling good brings a sense of peace in my life.

I encourage you to get out in nature and see if it does not elevate your mood. You would be surprised at what it does for your soul. Worrying, being stressed, sad, or unhappy is not worth it. Grab a notebook and journal for a bit. Check-in with your feelings to see where you stand with them. They usually have a lot to say if you give them the opportunity.
