This post is for the women that are in midlife. If you aren’t there yet, then may you find a takeaway or two. Time to embrace midlife. As a woman nearing what are considered those years, I embrace my age today. I can no longer turn back time or go back to how things once were.
However, I can acquire the tools that can make me look and feel vibrant. A cream here, an injection there, or I can simply sit back and let nature takes its course. The good news is that there is no wrong way to go about it.
Anyone of us can do the things that make us feel beautiful and empowered. Of course, some will encounter judgment but do whatever makes you happy. Midlife can be beautiful.
Take a chance
Maybe this is your year to reinvent yourself. Do that 5K or that marathon. Stop the diet cycle and challenge yourself to change your lifestyle even if that means taking baby steps.
So many cool things can happen in this space of being. You can become your sexiest self; you can still love hard and deeply. You can do whatever you want and become who you want to be.
You can be the force of change in your community and make a difference. The world needs all that you can contribute to the greater good. Set the example for the younger women in your life, pour out the wisdom and be ready to take in the knowledge of their youth too. All of us are here to learn from one another.
At this age, I can say that I would instead pursue and live my best life without regret. To do the things I know that I can do. You can do those things too.
Midlife doesn’t mean that you give up. It means that you no longer must wait so long to make those decisions. Time is of extra value here, and it is a reason to motivate you to go on and be you.
Invest in yourself
My advice is to buy that pretty dress, buy that risqué piece of lingerie and put it on and feel like a hot summer night. Throw the heels on and be a force to be reckoned with when necessary—all with grace and integrity of course.
Approaching midlife makes you watch the movie in your head that is called your life. You learn what you must in bits and pieces. Your experiences help shape you into your present moment. Reflect on it and see what you come up with from that.
Start thinking of what makes you grateful, sad, happy and what gives you grit. Midlife is indeed another chapter that you get to write according to your goals.

Live out your dreams and continue with your passion. It is time to embrace midlife to the fullest. You owe it to yourself to embrace the incredible woman that you are and the one that is waiting on the other side of that. Go ahead; your time is now.
