It is that time of year for thinking about ways to support local events. The mission of Turkeys for the Triangle is a way to do that in 2021. I came across a local business that contributes to those in need as the holidays soon approach. Recently, I was made aware of how a local realtor, Rachel Withers of RachelNCRealtor.com, has been an avid supporter by purchasing raffle tickets herself. She does so through the efforts of Coldwell Banker Howard Perry and Walston, who support the mission of Turkeys for the Triangle, an important endeavor. The HPW Foundation, Inc. has been partnering up with local churches, charities, and homeless shelters for years.
Rachel made me aware of how Turkeys for the Triangle helps to give away thousands of turkeys each year. One way that you can help with this event in 2021 is to purchase a raffle ticket. When you do, you will get a chance to win some awesome prizes. This year some of those prizes are a 6-month membership to Wine.com Wine Club, a $500 Gift Card to Target, a 65” Flat Screen TV, and many more great things. The Grand Prize this year is a trip for two that is valued at about $2000.
The Mission is Giving Back
Are you wondering what your purchase helps to accomplish? It helps to feed 20,000 plus in the Triangle. They give away holiday turkeys in November and December. Imagine helping thousands of needy people and charitable organizations through this event. I am sure that each recipient is more than grateful and deserving of such kindness.
The holidays are a way to come together and celebrate. It is a way for us to give back. By supporting locally, these individuals get a chance to have a holiday turkey at home. Purchasing a raffle ticket for $5 or multiple tickets is a way of being part of their mission. The main thing is to offer your support if you can, and if you win, that is a bonus.
How do you give back during the holidays? Think of some things that you have been a part of and how good they made you feel. You will feel that again when you choose to help in this meaningful endeavor. Sometimes we are not aware of what we can do to help. Organizations like a food bank or church partner with a business that can help be a part of a more significant outreach.
