It is that time when I think about my word of the year. For some, it might even be more than one word. I say go with whatever makes you happy. There is no wrong way to go about it. Your word of the year must invoke intention. For 2022 my word is rebirth.
This word comes from a place of allowing myself to be reawakened. Rebirth means letting go of what is no longer a part of me. It is a way to shed the old like an old pair of pants and make way for the new pair that fit lovingly around my hips. It is making the transition into what can become transformative to my soul.
Allowing Change With Your Word of the Year
Change is a part of my rebirth. Call it destiny, my calling, or my purpose. Either way, I get to choose. I no longer make my decisions out of fear or uncertainty but instead make intentional ones that move me forward.
Doing this helps to create a space that is open to positive experiences. I believe that we all get a chance to experience something extraordinary. However, this can only happen with being open to new possibilities.
Coming up with your word can be fun or even scary. You get to step toward what you want in life by doing so. Don’t we all want that opportunity? I say yes. Rebirth creates a sense of curiosity about what is to be and what is left to discard.
It can mean so many things, but it will help create something exceptional. Shedding layers means opening myself up to new ways. I get to steer clear of negative people and old habits. Rebirth allows me to let go of parts of me and keep the ones that move me forward.
Live Life
Becoming can be intimidating, but I get to discover what it means. It isn’t about being perfect or that I’m exempt from life’s circumstances. It means that I get to live life and not the other way around.
I get to take what I have learned and make it better. I get to see the things that once saddened me in a new light.
Rebirth allows me to accept the things that I can not change. Yet, I get the opportunity to pursue happiness by making changes with myself first.
That process begins with how I see myself. Looking at the woman I am and how I will rise in this fantastic journey. I am excited by the metamorphosis that is about to take place. My rebirth is what I will find enlightens me to elevate my creativity.
