During different phases of your life, will mean coming face to face with change. Changing careers is beneficial for continued professional growth. It may even appear intimidating at first.

If you know that it is inevitable, then you will be better prepared. It will not make it easier by any means. Know that you only have to go through it, not reside there.

Instead, look at as a hurdle that you must jump over. I know from experience that changing careers is challenging. It can be lifechanging. Remember that anything new requires you to have grit.

Time to Move Out of the Box

We get so stuck on what is comfortable that we conjure up self-doubt. Falling into that way of thinking does not set you up for success. You must do the hard things that are associated with life changes.

Think of them as a test. You are proving to yourself that you have what it takes. Are you a quitter or an achiever?

Sometimes fear is looked at as a weakness. It can be debilitating for sure. However, anxiety can propel you to greatness when you overcome it.

You become your best advocate. Practice positive affirmations to instill what you know to be true about yourself.

The people that have succeeded in a business or career all started without knowing everything. Think of what you can do to learn more. Nowadays all of that is available with the click of a button. Do the work that is needed.

Learning something brand new can be overwhelming with this change. Stay the course during this phase. If you need to vent or have an ugly cry, then do it. Afterward, let it go with love then move on.

Make sure that you have a support system. I like to think of my tribe as that support. Your tribe will always be there for you. Make sure that you do the same in return.

You get to evolve into something new. Your experiences become part of the tools in your arsenal.

Good Things Are Waiting for You

Although it can be scary, there is excitement as well. You start to look forward to what is to come. Remember to take baby steps along the way. After all, it is your journey.

You get to dictate your path. I have learned that in this world, we must press on. No matter how hard it can be or how unfair it can seem when we struggle.

For me, I want to be able to say that I tried my best. That although changes were uncomfortable, I stretched out of my comfort zone. Maybe it isn’t breaking out of it immediately, but enough that I feel my feet touching the new ground.

That feeling is part of that new path of possibilities and endless opportunities to soar. If that is what it takes to get there, then I am ready to try.

Don’t you think it is time to step towards what is next for you?
