Going after your truest self takes courage. That mean being brave enough in becoming you. It might mean shifting the way that you think for the better.
Have you ever hesitated to share the real you at times? Maybe this is due to the fear of how others will percieve you. We have all been there I’m sure.
What would you do differently if you could be yourself? Think back to a time where you weren’t who you wanted to be. Would today be any different?
Sometimes we are part of social situations that prevent us from sharing. It doesn’t mean that you are being fake. What it means is that you might be more reserved. Go ahead and share away when you can.
Thinking bigger means progress
If you are an entrepreneur and you could be yourself, what would that look like? Would you increase your productivity if you were? However, maybe it would put you in a position to help others in a bigger way.
Society has a tendency to keep us complacent. Instead, try digging deep on being who you are meant to be and not shy away from that. Your success is dependent on being the real you.
Think of it as chipping away the outer layer a little bit at a time. Those small steps will take you in the right direction. Don’t worry so much on being liked by everyone when you do.
The good news is that there will be plenty of people that will like you. The world is a big place and there is plenty of room too. Picture yourself pursuing your dream or goal.
Let go of the cookie cutter mindset
Now picture it as if you were going after it by being yourself. Not a cookie cutter image of someone that you look up to. It’s okay to admire, but at the end of the day who is staring back at you in the mirror?
Maybe the person that you are right now isn’t confident. Yet, the real you inside is begging to be released into the world and is confident. That’s the one you want.
It all starts with you. You get the same 24 hours in a day. The awesome news though is that the real you is sitting on the sidelines. The you that is ready to take that giant leap. Take the leap!
Be brave today. You can do it!
