*Disclosure: At times I am extended an invitation to experience a service and/or product. I only give my personal opinion when given the opportunity.
Burn Boot Camp North Raleigh and Tastefully Served were a great combination. Fitness is a chance to challenge yourself. As an avid gym fan, I am open to new ways of getting fit and eating healthy.
First, we were introduced to Lindsay. She was our trainer for the evening. Expect to feel challenged, walking into this boot camp.
She got us in that mindset, and it pumped you up for what was coming. I thought archery felt more comfortable compared to this boot camp. Archery isn’t an easy sport either.

Remember to do Cardio
This form of exercising taught me to incorporate more cardio into my life. Lindsay told us to listen to our bodies. That took off some of the pressure from the beginning.
As much as I wanted to finish, I found that I couldn’t. I knew when to stop, as did my friend Melissa. One of the most challenging exercises for me was doing burpees.
I am not a huge fan of jumping and the sudden need to find the nearest ladies’ room. I am all for disrupting age but know my limits.
My favorite part of the workout was working my abs.
Doing the ropes was hard, but I knew it was good for my core. You know you have a good trainer when they correct your form.
Lindsay did that and would also check in on us.
I focused on the quality of the movement versus the quantity. This motivated me to keep trying by attempting my best.
I have been exercising for years, and I am still not a know it all. I don’t want to be. Instead, I like to continue learning new ways of doing things. Burn Boot Camp was the next level for me because of its intensity.
Hard Work Pays Off
If you are looking to get fit and sculpted, it will happen here. The workout came with a huge bonus. Next, Tastefully Served rewarded us with delicious food after our workout.
They had: Tomato-Cantaloupe Gazpacho, Turkey Meatballs with Quinoa and Tomato Basil sauce, Thai Peanut Chicken Salad, and Almond Joy Bites. I loved it all!
I could see ordering this food regularly. Not only did I love it but know that my family would too. We all go to the gym. This menu would be a fit for my family’s lifestyle.
Finally, we were sent home with some tasty things to try too. My favorite was the Grain-Free Granola. I could see that being a staple in my house.
Think Local
Supporting local business is huge in my book. Tastefully Served and Burn Boot Camp are ways that you can do that. I invite you to visit their websites for more information.
I have learned that food plays a huge role with your fitness routine. So, when it comes to eating I am not an angel. I too am tempted because of craving sweets in the form of carbs.
The good news is that Tastefully Served can help me with that. I also know that programs like Burn Boot Camp are there for me. Even though I live outside of Raleigh, this would be a way to change it up.
Better health means making changes
I have friends that have been loyal clients of Burn Boot Camp and they have loved it. I have a higher respect for them than ever before. As with any fitness or diet routine always check with your physician.
Workouts can be modified according to your needs. What works for one may not work for someone else. That is more than okay. This doesn’t have to be a cookie cutter workout.
Find your own pace, ask for suggestions but most importantly show up. Do it for yourself and do it for your overall health. It is not a race. It’s a lifestyle.
